This process is a special process where it puts the arch in a healthy and relaxed position. The student is taught how to manipulate the foot to bring balance to the footwear. This mould making process allows the model maker to take a snap shot of the whole foot in order to model lasts for both shoes or boots with a replicated plantar surface and foot volume.
